Are you trying to describe RAID10? Or are you saying you want to RAID0 2 drives for 8TB effective, then back it up onto a 2 drive 4TB effective RAID1? Cause the former is good practice, the latter is messed up and won't work. You're thinking ♚TX so that's perfectly fine.
#Lego jurassic world pc too much cpu usage pro
I also plan on using BlinkStick Pro to light up the casing a little bit so the MB should support extra USB port inside the PC (at least 2, to a maximum of 4)Īny ATX or smaller mobo will fit. Possibilities of adding one or more raid controller so that I can add more HDD later No GPU, so integrated video on motherboard/cpuġ00Mb network card is an option, but using the integrated ethernet port on motherboard is best I was planning on using a micro-atx motherboard with a i3 Intel CPU.Ĥx 4TB HDD: 2 of those disk will be in raid 0 mirrored on the two other using raid 1 (so motherboard must support raid!)ġx 250GB SSD for buffer (used only while transferring files, to speed up the process)
Should be at the lowest cost possible (Lego will cost me hundreds of $$, so if I can spend less on the hardware itself, it would be best) Should be extendable, in case I want to add more HDD Must not produce too much heat OR must have an efficient cooling system Must fit in a 48x48 lego base plate (that means, 38.4cm x 38.4cm) Now the nicest part, at least for me: I plan to build my own case using Lego. You can guess that the PC will use network and disk the most so CPU, RAM and GPU are not really important. This PC will be used to transfer, store and play movies, series, music (probably using Plex). I've been checking neweggs, PcPartPicker and other site to find some nice material but I think that I need to be counseled before taking any decision. Hello everyone, I'm currently trying to build a custom media server.
